    • In 1897, Anna Gowe Herms was united in marriage to Joseph William Dunlap. Anna was the daughter of J.C. and Elizabeth Herms of Neosho, Missouri; the father a native of New York; the mother of Wisconsin. The parents then resided in Missouri. Anna was highly accomplished, having graduated from a prominent Missouri college. She was the mother of two children, Helen Ethene and Thelma E. (Published in "The History of North Washington" in 1904)
