  Married: Reed and Machemer Families--Early Settlers in Southeastern Pennsylvania: According to Montgomery's History of Berks County, page 1366: "He was anearly school teacher of Berks county, was later the proprietor of a hotelin West Reading, which he himself erected, and was a well known andhighly esteemed citizen of his day."
